  1. 0scar was correct , my Vref for the extruder was too low. It was at 0.7 V I raised it up to 1.1 V, and all seems to be working now. I will go back and check the other Vrefs later on.

  2. There are a number of points missing, but I can offer a few suggestions. The re-leveling of the bed could have resulted in the bed now being in a position to block the nozzle. I have done exactly that in the past.

  3. I've tried to reduce the "Extrusion multiplier" from 1 to 0.95, but that caused gaps. Now I've minimized the clicking by setting the Slic3r option "Infill before perimeters" on the "Print Settings > Infill" page.

  4. I managed to confirm the dragged layers were mostly due to under-extrusion . I had a faulty extruder (clicking sound) and once I swapped it out it was greatly improved.

  5. The clicking sound typically means the drive gears are slipping on the filament because there is a jam in the head/nozzle. First thing to do is clear the nozzle.

  6. If you hear some "clicking" during the print then you are experiencing filament slipping inside the extruder gear.

  7. It looks like you got too tight nozzle, too cold hotend or extruding speed is too high (all could be in the same time of course).

  8. extruder clicking means you're getting backed up, grinding. Make the hotend hotter so you can melt filament 3X faster than expected; most materials have quite a range; aim high.

  9. A nozzle with a nozzle width of 0.3 mm cannot print a 0.3 mm layer height . You could do that but you should not as you ultimately pay the price in the form of a less aesthetic finish.

  10. The issue was the X-axis top smooth rod came out. this caused the extruder to bang around and shift on the Y-axis when it shifted forward. thank everyone for their help.

  11. I'm still not sure what happened but here's what I did. I ended up buying a replacement since I thought the motor was seized up somehow.

  12. I am still somewhat of a noob, but I have heard that your problem may be because the extruder is not getting the filament out fast enough. You are trying to extrude filament before it is sufficiently fluid.

  13. Advice from another source suggested thoroughly cleaning the feed gear on the bowden extruder. When I looked closely there were plastic flakes all over the mechanism. I used compressed air and a brush to clean it.

  15. The extruder motor may be skipping steps because of insufficient current. Typically, the stepper driver will have a small potentiometer that lets you increase or decrease the current.

  18. Run some cleaning filament through the extruder at the printing temperature of your PVA or ABS filament, whichever is greater, until the old stuff has been completely displaced.

  19. There are a few probable causes I can think of based on your description. That it only starts happening after the printer has been running for a bit makes me think it's a heat issue.
